Peacocks, the majestic bird of India, are very distinct with the males having their very colourful plume of feathers on their tails. However as colourful as they may be they are also seen as nuisance animals and invasive in area where the aren't native.



What's the worst that could happen?
Nassau County peacocks can be extremely powerful birds, with many people reporting injuries from pecking from their powerful beaks or attacks from their claws on their feet. These attacks are more common during mating season. These attacks aren't limited to humans however, peacocks who see themselves in cars paintwork attack the imaginary birds.

So how do I remove them?
The safest way for you to remove them is through the use of a control specialist,as they will be able to safely capture the New York animal, as well as release it back into the wild without causing it too much distress. If you want to try and trap it yourself one way you can do this is by using a live trap. These traps are better because they do not kill the animal. But it is advised that you do speak to a professional first as these birds are very difficult to trap, and once caught it may either pain to itself in trying to escape or if you're not careful it may end up hurting you.

To ensure that they stay away from your property construct a fence, this will make it a lot harder for the Nassau County peacocks to actually gain access, and it has the added benefit of restricting the amount of other animals that try and get into your house (such as raccoons).
