Removal Of Nassau County Birds In Subfloor Vents
Birds, being wild animals, need a safe, peaceful place to call home, where they can live and thrive with their families during appropriate seasons. Such a place, fitting all those requirements as you can see, just so happens to include your sub-floor vent. This provides a cozy home for critters like the birds and is more than perfect for them. It is therefore not a wonder if one day you wake up and you realize that you actually have close neighbours.
It is not difficult to know that a Nassau County bird or birds have nested in your sub floor vent. Indicators like chirping noises or a bad odour of bird droppings coming from the vents are definitely easy to notice. These are both pretty unpleasant to have i your house. Incase that is not enough to get you hell bent on ensuring the birds are no longer in your vents, then I guess I should also add that bird droppings are very unhealthy to have around since they could be having disease causing micro-organisms that are not friendly to humans.
When you have established that you have New York birds in your vents and that you no longer want them there anymore, then you have a lot of work in your hands. Getting the birds and their stuff out of the vents id definitely not an easy job. Since the vents are also part of your house, then smoking them out or poisoning them is definetly off the table since dead birds produce a pungent odour and accessing them in the vent will not be easy. Hiring an expert is advised at this point, but that is not to say you can not do it on your own too.
In case you decide to do it yourself, then you should be ready for some work. For swift operation, then you should equip yourself with atleast two tools that will help you a great deal in this. They are; a fibre optic camera and a tool named 'fish'. Their work is defined below.
Step 1.
Identify the type of Nassau County bird nesting in your vent, and how far it is in its nesting.
Step 2.
Investigate and calculate how much debris is in the vent. The fibreoptic camera will help you at this point since it is easy to see inside the vent with one.
Step 3.
When the New York bird leaves the nest, use the 'fish' tool to fish out the debris whose amount you had estimated, leaving nothing in the vent.
Step 4.
Disinfect the vent. It is best that you call an expert here so that they may disinfect the vent properly for you.
After all this, when the bird comes back and finds its nest gone, it will take it that the spot is not safe and is highly unlikely that it will nest there again.
Later on, fix the entry to the vent in such a way that more Nassau County bids may will not be able to get through to avoid a similar problem in the future.
